Tips for market business success
Research: How does your product add to the existing marketplace?
Brainstorm: How will you and your stall will attract customers/footfall on market days? How can you make your stall attractive and memorable?
Branding and Business Name: Is your branding clearly visible on your stall and products, and consistent online and in person?
Marketing: It's helpful (though not essential) to have some quality online content to share to bring people to your stall.
Be prepared for unexpected weather: Think of ways your products or produce can be presented or easily covered in event of unexpected weather changes. Remember, KI has "four seasons in one hour"!
Dedication: Kingscote Farmers' and Artisans' Market is the ideal location to START, GROW, DEVELOP, RESEARCH, BUILD LOYALTY and BUILD CUSTOMERS. It's an opportunity to network and raise the profile of your brand.
The committee works pretty hard to make sure there's a well attended, vibrant market each month, but we rely on stallholders to be there with their wares! It's a circle: More stalls, more energy; more energy, more customers; more customers, more stalls and so on. We welcome casual stallholders, but love committed, regular sellers especially.
